I am not a huge horror movies fan, to be honest, with few exceptions (Stephen King, you are a master!) I don’t like it at all! When I received an invitation from Universal Orlando to check Halloween Horror Nights, I was seriously wondering how will I be able to attend something that I originally thought it was not for me.

Halloween Horror Nights 2018 proved to me that a little scare can be a lot of fun or I’m WAY braver than I thought I was.

DATES

QUANDO

Halloween Horror Nights happens on select dates until November 3rd, with some exceptions this event is held Wednesday to Sunday.

If you are looking for a less crowded event day, Wednesdays and Thursdays are the days to go.

TICKETS

PREÇOS

This is something that surprised me about HHN! I had no idea they offered so many different ticket options.

– SINGLE NIGHT TICKET (Starting at $62)

The price of this ticket depends on the day you select to visit. If you are looking for the best prices, choose Sundays, Wednesdays or Thursdays in September or Wednesdays in October.

If you are planning to buy this ticket avoid buying last minute in the park because the prices will be way higher.

– FLEX SUNDAY-FRIDAY ($81.99 plus tax)

If you know you will be going to HHN but haven’t decided which day yet, this could be a good option. This is a flexible date ticket, so if it is poring on the day you are planning to visit you can just stay in and visit the next day. Note that you cannot use this ticket on Saturdays.

– FLEX SUNDAY – SATURDAY ($89.99 plus tax)

Same concept but this ticket can be used on Saturdays.

– RUSH OF FEAR PASS ($95.99 plus tax)

You are able to visit HHN every night in September.

– FREQUENT FEAR PASS ($106.99)

Multiple night season ticket (Sept.14th – Nov.3rd). Can be used on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

– FREQUENT FEAR PLUS PASS ($122.99 plus tax)

Same as above but also includes Fridays.

– ULTIMATE FREQUENT FEAR PASS ($203.99 plus tax)

Same as above but without a block-out day. This ticket can be used on Saturdays.

– RUSH OF FEAR PASS ($95.99)

Ingresso para TODAS as noites no mês de setembro.

– FREQUENT FEAR PASS ($106.99)

– FREQUENTE FEAR PLUS PASS ($122.99)

– ULTIMATE FREQUENT FEAR PASS ($203.99)

Ingresso para TODAS as noites de Hallowen Horror Nights. Já pensou ir todos os dias? Será que tem alguêm que vai?

ADD ONS

EXTRAS

Usually, I don’t mention add-ons on my posts because I don’t like to pay extra, but in this case not only I will talk about add-on options, but I will highly recommend you to consider them.

If you can afford it, pay extra to enjoy this event; your experience will definitely be better. Halloween Horror Nights is a popular event and jokingly told my husband that the scariest part of HHN is the lines. Expect to wait between 45 minutes to two hours, therefore is almost impossible to check everything in one day without an add-on.

– HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS EXPRESS PASS (Starting on $79.99)

It works just like the traditional Express Pass, you might still have to wait a little in line,  but your wait time will be definitely shorter. Prices vary depending on the day you select to visit the event.

– R.I.P Tour ($159.99)

That’s the tour we participated in during our media event. This guided tour will take you to every single house so if you only have one night to attend and want to see it all, that’s the way to go.

You won’t have to wait to go inside any of the houses, not even the most popular ones.

– PRIVATE R.I.P Tour

I was not able to find pricing for this tour online, but the difference between this one and the R.I.P. Tour is the ability to choose what you want to do. and you can also visit the same house multiple times

– HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS EXPRESS PASS ($79.99)

– R.I.P. TOUR ($159.99)

– PRIVATE R.I.P TOUR (preço não determinado)

SCARE ZONES

ZONAS DE SUSTO

Open air zones located in different parts of the park. To be honest, the best scares I got where while I was walking through a scare zone. I also think this is a great way to break the ice, in case you are afraid to go inside houses like I was.

Several scare actors mingle with park goers, interacting and also scaring. That made me so paranoid it was funny, everyone was a suspect and I kept constantly looking over my shoulder.

Scare zones will also give you the BEST photo opps, make sure to take a lot of pictures! You will want to remember this night.

This year, Halloween Horror Nights will have 5 scare zones.

As zonas de susto rendem as melhores fotos do evento.

O Halloween Horror Nights 2018 possui 5 zonas de susto:

Revenge of Chucky

Revenge of Chucky

This was a lot of fun! Chucky has his very own stage and he is there interacting with everyone, you can even talk to him. You will also find some of your favorite childhood toys in this area.

Killer Klowns from Outer Space

Killer Klowns from outer space

I was so worried about this one because I HATE spooky clowns (thank Pennywise for that), they make me so uncomfortable, but I liked this zone! I had some great character interactions here.

The Harvest

The Harvest

I wasn’t able to spend much time in this zone but I saw some great scare actors walking around.
A decoração dessa área celebra as casas do Halloween Horror Nights

Twisted Traditions

Twisted Traditions

By far my favorite scare zone! It is just so pretty  (in a twisted way of course). The decor was awesome and the scare actors costumes were the best.

Vamp’85

Vamp’ 85

This was my first taste of HHN and what made me relax and enjoy my time! It’s an NYE party in 1985, that was invaded by vampires. Lot’s of fun with some 80’s music.

HOUSES

CASAS

This year Halloween Horror Nights have 10 houses! The reason I never went to HHN before is that I thought I would never be brave enough to go inside any of the houses.

Out of pure curiosity, I decided to go to one just to test my waters and understand what the event was about, and to my surprise, I didn’t mind at all! In fact, I had a great time so I ended up going to every single one of them.

One thing that gave me peace of mind was the fact that the scare actors won’t touch you, and somehow knowing that made all my fears go away.

I wouldn’t go inside all by myself but that’s not the case since the constant flow of people makes finding yourself alone inside one of the houses virtually impossible.

Click here to see my favorite houses and the one you should skip.

O Halloween Horror Nights 2018 possui 10 casas!

I had the best time at Halloween Horror Nights and I’m already planning to go back, next time I’ll bring my whole family and who knows? Maybe this will be our newest Halloween tradition.
