It’s been 4 months, but today the Walt Disney World reopened its doors to the public once again. Lately, there has been a lot going on. The theme park industry leader seeks the most critical leadership of its lifetime: health and safety in times where everything is uncertain, and things are trial and error.
I’ve visited the Magic Kingdom on its reopening day. Here is what I’ve learned, I hope this post can help you to know what to expect.
Foram longos 4 meses, mas hoje o Walt Disney World reabriu suas portas novamente para o público. Muitas coisas mudaram, o lider mundial da industria de entretenimento busca a liderança mais critica da sua existência; saúde e segurança em tempos onde tudo é incerto.
Eu visitei o Magic Kingdom no dia da sua reabertura e aqui está o que eu observei. Espero que esse post te ajude a saber o que esperar quando visitar os parques da Disney.
WHAT I LOVED/ O QUE EU AMEI
DISNEY PARK SYSTEM
I’m not going to lie, I was VERY uneasy about the Disney Park Reservation System. I understood the need for a new system to manage theme park attendance, but when I first read the description of this new system, I was worried.
If you don’t know, for the time being, you will need a theme park reservation in ADDITION to your park ticket. Making a park reservation was EASIER than I thought it would be.
The park had VERY low crowds, and that is because of the Disney Park Reservation System! It did its job to manage crowd capacity.

Se você não sabe, agora além do ingresso do parque você também precisa fazer uma reserva para garantir o seu lugar dentro do parque.
Se você viu fotos do Magic Kingdom vazio, foi graças ao Sistema de Reservas que a a Disney implementou, funcionou muito bem!

You can expect to find the now-so-familiar social distance markings and temperature check stations, for example.
Face coverings are a requirement, and cleaning protocols are even more strict than before. They are reportedly cleaning ride vehicles every two hours (to check ALL the safety measures, CLICK HERE).
There are two new measures that I LOVED; the first one is no fingerprint scan when entering the park.
I am a germophobe, so I never like this step, to begin with. I hope Disney maintains this after things are back to normal.
O uso de máscara é mandatório, e a limpeza do parque que sempre foi boa, agora foi reforçada. Os carrinhos dos brinquedos são limpos a cada duas horas, por exemplo (para ver todas as medidas de segurança, CLIQUE AQUI).
Tem duas medidas de segurança que eu amei. A primeira delas foi a eliminação da necessidade da impressão digital para entrar no parque. Eu sou germofóbica e nunca gostei desse passo, para ser sincera.
SAFETY BARRIERS

You will find safety barriers on some ride ques, ride vehicles, transportation, and stores. Most of the time, those barriers are clear, and don’t disturb your view.
I hope other places follow this example!
Essas novas barreiras de segurança foram instaladas nas filas de algumas atrações, nos carrinhos de alguns brinquedos, nos sistemas de transposte da Disney e em lojas. A grande maioria das vezes, elas são transparentes e não atrapalham em nada a sua visão e experiência.

While I understand the reasoning, I also asked myself, “will Disney feel like Disney?”
The answer, in my opinion, is YES! I loved seeing the characters throughout the park. Even if it is from a distance, I loved interacting with them.
In fact, I’ve seen more characters today than before park closures, simply because they are all outside.
Eu entendi a razão por trás dessa decisão, mas também fiquei me perguntando; “será que a Disney vai conseguir ter a magia Disney?”.
A resposta é SIM!!!! Eu amei ver os personagens espalhados pelo parque, mesmo distantes, essa interação foi especial.
Aliás, eu vi mais personagens hoje do que em um dia normal, simplesmente eles estão ao ar livre.
CHARACTERS CAVALCADE
MINI PARADAS
The character cavalcade happens multiple times a day, so it did not attract crowds.
There were SO many characters! I loved seeing Tinkerbell going by while Following the Leader was playing! Peter Pan is my favorite Disney movie, so I am biased.
The Character Cavalcade works! It did bring the Disney magic back to the park.
Você consegue ver DIVERSOS personagens. Eu amei ver a Sininho passando, equanto a música do Peter Pan tocava.
Está é uma solução eficaz para manter a magia Disney viva nos parques.
